How to Connect to the ElektraL2 Server:
1. On the page http://elektral2.com/download.html2. click the download game and download patch buttons
3. download both files
4. right click each file and select extract files
5. locate the l2install folder
6. windows xp users click the install file and allow it to run
6a. windows vista and windows 7 users right click the install folder and select "run as administrator" and allow to run
7. allow the game to download/install
7a. the previous steps can be avoided if you have already installed the game or are downloading it from fileplanet.com or gamershell.com.
8. locate the manual_patch folder
9. windows xp user click the Install_Hosts WinXp-Vista-2000 file and allow to run.
9a windows vista and windows 7 users right click the Install_Hosts WinXp-Vista-2000 file and select run as administrator.
10. when game is downloaded/installed the update icon should work at this point. (play will not work)
11. windows xp users locate the rename_util file in the manual_patch folder and run it.
11a windows vista and windows 7 user locate the rename_util file in the manual_patch folder and right click and select "run as administrator".
12. click the update icon and select full file check.
13. press the start button on the updater to login for the first time.
13a. if you get a hacking tool detected warning run the h-t-detected util (run as administrator in windows vista and 7)
14. both the play and update icons should now be working. only use the play icon to access the server unless instructed to update your game client.
